The Armenian capital is also called “The pink city”, because the majority of the buildings are constructed of pink tufa stone.
In the beginning of the excursion you are going to visit Armenian Genocide Memorial “Tsitsernakaberd”, then Mother Armenia Monument, dedicated to the victory in WW2.
Then follows a visit to Matenadaran, a unique museum of ancient manuscripts in Armenian, Greek, Arabic, Farsi and many other languages.
During the tour you will also have the opportunity to see the architectural complex of Cascade, opera house, Republic Square and the emblematic statue to David of Sasun.
You will be welcomed at Megeryan Carpet factory, where the specialists have managed to revive the best traditions of Armenian carpet-making. The guide will introduce to you the process of carpet-making, after which a tasty lunch will be served in the authentic restaurant of the factory.
After the lunch you will visit ArArAt brandy factory. This worldwide famous brand doesn’t need any commercials. In the underground cellar you will watch the presentation of all stages of brandy making and finally, try 2 sorts of the magic beverage.
